In the days leading up to the event, isolated heavy showers were forecast, so we were lucky to have a dry morning and relatively warm weather on Saturday,
though just before T2 in the afternoon we did have some heavy rain, so most people decided not to do the run. Sunday started warmer, but the wind got up in
the afternoon, so it was then a lot cooler. On Saturday, Michael Calvert unfortunately collided with the Armco and bent two of his wheels, but the camaraderie
of the Club was in evidence when members all came over to help get his Caterham back on the road by providing him with a spare set of wheels so he could
continue. This camaraderie was again present when unfortunately, on the last run of the day, Lewis Carine had an 'off', hitting a barrier and breaking his
arm. Everyone again rallied round to ensure that Lewis' car was returned to his trailer and all his belongings put in his car, ready for his return from
hospital.
